uPVC or PVCu?
They’re the same thing. uPVC changed its name to PVCu (you may also see PVC-U) in the late 1980s to fall in line with Europe, where the noun is placed before the adjective. PVC itself stands for Polyvinyl Chloride.

How secure are they?
Very. Frames are internally beaded so glass can’t be removed from outside, and they’re tested to Secured by Design standards with multi-point locking as standard.
